Anyone can print a certificate. What can't be printed is a traceable line back to the source of the system being taught. Shalini trained to Master level in the ICRT lineage in 2008, and in 2011 took her Master and Karuna Master training from William Lee Rand himself. Every one of those courses is listed in the ICRT's own public records.
Professional membership of the Reiki Membership Association is not a badge. It carries specific obligations, and Shalini holds all of them.

It is a fair doubt, and a common one. The short answer: the internet carries the class. It was never being asked to carry the energy.
What the internet does carry: Shalini's voice and guidance, live · her eyes on your hands, correcting your positions · your questions, answered as they come up · the group — you practise with real people.
What it does not need to carry: the energy itself, which is not travelling through your router · your attunement, given by the teacher, not by the wifi · your distance from her — in Reiki, distance is not the barrier we assume it is.
This is old practice, not a new shortcut. In Level 2, one of the main things you learn is distance Reiki — how to send Reiki to someone in another city or another country. Reiki teachers were doing this long before Zoom existed. Learning online sits comfortably inside a tradition that already worked across distance.
You can sit in your own home, in your own chair, with your own cup of tea — and learn fully.

You do not need a gift. You do not need to be spiritual. You do not even need to believe it yet.
What you actually need: two hands · willingness to sit quietly for a few minutes · an honest question or two.
What you do not need: to be “spiritual”, or religious · to be vegetarian, or change your diet · any special gift or psychic ability · to believe in it before you try it · to pass an exam — there is none. You cannot fail.
Try this now — it takes 60 seconds. Nobody is watching. There is no wrong answer.
Whatever you noticed — even something very faint — is enough. That noticing is where every Reiki practitioner started. Nothing more mysterious than that.
If you can feel your own hands, you can learn Reiki.

Most people are told the levels in confusing language. Here is what you actually learn in each one.
Level 1 — for you, and the people in front of you: your attunement, the switching on · hand positions for treating yourself, daily · treating family, friends and pets in the same room · a simple daily practice you can keep up · complete in itself — many people stop here, happily, for years.
Level 2 — for distance, and for depth: three Reiki symbols, and how to use them · distance Reiki, sending to another city or country · working with situations and habits, not just bodies · a stronger, more focused practice · the usual step for anyone thinking of practising more seriously.
And after that? There is a Master level, and beyond it Karuna Reiki®. Those are for people who want to go deeper or eventually teach. You do not need to think about them now, and a good teacher will not push you up the ladder. One level at a time is the right speed.
How Shalini teaches it. Live on Zoom, never a recording. Small groups, so your hands are actually seen. The curriculum of the International Center for Reiki Training, with a certificate at the end. And you can come back to her with questions after the class is over — that part does not expire.

This is the question most teachers answer only after you have paid. Here it is first.
What students commonly report: deeper rest and easier sleep · a steadier mind in difficult weeks · a calmer relationship with their own stress · a daily practice that gives shape to the day · feeling more able to sit with a difficulty rather than run from it.
What Reiki does not do: it does not diagnose · it does not cure disease · it does not replace medicine, surgery, psychiatry or therapy · it does not guarantee any outcome · it is not an emergency service.
If you are unwell, please stay with your doctor. Reiki works alongside medical care and never instead of it. Any teacher who tells you otherwise is telling you something they cannot support — and that is the single most useful thing on this page.

An honest answer has to be a modest one. The claim that can be made comfortably is this: people who receive Reiki very often enter a state of deep rest, and deep rest is not a small thing — it is the state in which a body and mind do much of their repair.
Beyond that, be careful of anyone who is certain. Reiki is not fully explained by current science. “Not yet explained” is not the same as “disproven”, and it is also not the same as “proven”. Both overstatements are worth resisting.
Test it on yourself, over a week. Before your practice, rate how calm you feel from 1 to 10. Practise for ten minutes. Rate it again. Write both numbers down. After seven days you will have your own small piece of evidence — worth more to you than anybody's testimonial, including the ones on this page.

Classes are taught in English. This page is offered in Hindi so that you can understand Reiki and decide properly — but the teaching itself, the manuals and the discussion are all in English, and comfort with spoken English matters for taking part.
If you are unsure whether your English is enough, say so on your call. It is a fair question and you will get a straight answer.
